I know what district I'm going to!

So I wasn't supposed to find out what district I would be going to until late April- July. I need to have this one form in before I can figure out where I'm going; but, I can't figure out where I'm going until I have this form in. It only happens when the person is going to a European country, and even then it doesn't happen all the time, so that's why I wasn't supposed to know until a lot later. But my mom called somebody, and here we are! The district I'm going to is 1710. It's in the Lyon regions, including the Rhone and Loire valleys. My dad said that Lyon is the food capitol of France! I really hope he's right because I loooove food!!!  It's also right next to the Alps and I snowboard so it's perfect! It also has one of those super fast trains in Lyon so I hope I'll be able to visit Paris! I've always wanted to go to the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomph and the Louvre. When I went to this Rotary meeting the other day (the one where found out where I'm going next year) the head person of the district was asking questions to the inbound students (the ones coming here from other countries) and the rebound students (the ones that went to other countries in the past years and are back). One of the questions was something along the lines of "Did you have expectations?" The students said that they did, but that we shouldn't because the expectations aren't always what happened. I got home after the meeting, and I just went through my head thinking of all the expectations that I have that I didn't think that I had. This is going to be a long seven months.
